Patty has looked at getting me a reader but I'm still on the fence about the whole reader/tablet thing. I can use my laptop to download books. I will probably just use the laptop. For me the reader would probably be a waste of money.
I gave my mother a Kindle a few years ago for xmas. She loves it. She is a book junky and doesn't have to drive to the book store anymore. She gets the ebook before they show up at the store for cheaper now. It took some training to get her to understand the machine, but now she will punch you if you try to take it from her.
