The Basic 10 would sounds like exactly the knife you would want. Because it is only .23" and not very tall, it is very fast in the hands. It would make for a great bush whacker / quasi-machete. Also, the FFG and thinner bleeding sharp edge makes it a decent chopper for its weight. It's lighter than many of my 6" knives, so you know that it would carry like a feather in the right sheath. I think you'd really love it.
