Absolutely a good resource! Most of us need to do a better job nutritionally. I wasn't rebutting your thread concept. I did want to point out our societal "image" that isn't totally compatible with self sufficiency / emergency preparedness.

A few pounds are okay. Over 15 pounds is an issue, and should be addressed.

We have a book "calorie counts" that has the nutritional content of every conceivable food. We bought this about four years ago, and it reinforced our dietary habits.

Seeing the hidden calories / fat / cholesterol can help steer people toward healthier lifestyles.
