I have a simple question about the Reg as "a fighter." If this is to be such and not a "camp knife" as some have proposed, to misquote the Joker, "why so thickness?" I mean, all that weight it will be slower in hand (likely blade heavy which is the opposite of what I would think would be desirous for a fighter), I thought the whole point of a Bowie is quick, snapping back cuts (thin blade would be better here too I would think) and a pointy point for thrusts. But at 1/3in thick, seems to me to be counter productive. This is not to say that I don't like the Reg, the guard or any other aspect. More of just a clarifying question for those "right tool for the job" types who say this is clearly "a fighter" more than anything else. Thanks.
