Oh trust me, I KNOW that REMF stands for. I had dealings with a few of them myself. One in particular a new Naval Squadron commander. He ORDERED one of his flight crews to do something. Well about 500,000 AF, Navy, CINCPAC NMCC and white house edicts stated they couldn't do that. The LT (NAVY) called me in a panic. I calmly told him to launch the mission and I would cancel it after about 30 minutes.
A month later the LT told me that the sq commander got called in on the carpet and got fired for potentially starting an international incident. Everybody was happy, cept for the idiot.
