We all have our ways. I don't even like to fire my revolvers double action. I shoot so much better shooting single action. Every handgun I own has a hammer and can fire single action except my Kel-tec, which I can't hit anything at all with unless it is big and close. I sometimes pratice double action at close range with it and my revolvers. Beyond 10 yds, forget it.
A finely tuned revolver with a reputable trigger job can be more accurate in double action--at least for me. I rarely shoot my revolvers in SA unless it is my SAA. I don't know why but I do prefer a revolver for shooting.
