I am paying a hair over $1/round for .44 mag right now!! I will be able to reload for the .500 for the same price.

I think if you melt down a brick of 22long rifle's you can get 3 x 500 bullets...LOL. The best sound for the buck.
A guy I know shot a deer this season with a 500 S&W...all I can say is WOW!
