I have a small collection of pocket watches and vintage wristwatches that I have become interested in again. I called some watchmakers to find out the price of servicing and found out that it would be anywhere from $200 to $300 per watch and more if parts were needed. Being a thrifty person and needing another hobby, I enrolled in a watch repair course and bought some tools. Since I have about 20 watches, I could save some money or mess up some watches. I have started taking apart a non running pocket watch from the late 1800’s. Very interesting so far.
