Have heard some good things about them. I wouldn't be to concerned about the strength either. Edge retention may not be as good as you are used to (Compared to Bussekin of course) but should be good. Besides personally, I would rather a blade be on the kind of softer side. Will "Give more instead of breaking (USUALLY) and easier to sharpen if you find yourself surrounded by nothing but rocks. If I had one I certainly wouldn't feel I had an unreliable product.
