Back in the 90's I had a Class 3 collection (legal full autos). My Class 3 Dealer / Friend had both an Austen and Owen. His Owen still had the green camo paint on it. Of course, he also had Thompsons, Stens, Madsens, Berettas, S&W 76s, Uzis, MP5s, MP38 and 40, MACs, American 180s, PPSH, M16s, BAR, 1919, Sturmgwehr, AR18, M2 Carbine, and many more. The gun he liked best was that Owen. It was an odd SMG, but UBER rare and he coveted it.

When he died in the early 2000's his wife turned his collection over to a known friend to liquidate. I never heard, but I estimate his collection was worth $200k then and closer to $450k now.

Going to his house was like the best gun show / museum / experience ever.
