As long as they are pet rats and not in my house they are fine.

Rats and mice in the wild are automatically fair game for death here. Aside from peeing and pooping on everything I have a special hatred for mice. We just shot rats on the farm. They will bite the teats off a cow, kill chicks and destroy grain bags and hay.

Years ago I was working an unattended death and had to keep a constant watch over a guys body who had died mowing a field. Before the coroner could get there mice had been taking chunks out of the guy. He looked like a small pox victim after the mice got too him. They were bold and when I would run one off, others would come in to take a bite.

If I find evidence of a mouse in the garage I will set out an insane amount traps to get them as fast as possible. Thankfully they stay out of the house.
