Narcotics can cause you a lot of harm. Avoid them at all costs if you can. That being said, sometimes they are the only things that work.

But for us most of the time, even for toothaches, two extra strength Tylenol and one Ibuprofen works just as well. A dentist that handled all our jail work wouldn’t give narcotics to inmates except under VERY limited circumstances. Said the Tylenol and ibuprofen worked just as well as the normal hydros.
