Got my Blackthorn walking stick in from Ireland Monday. This one is sturdy enough I won’t have to worry about putting to much weight on it. Good thing too. I’ve had to use it for the last two days as my “trick” back is acting up almost constantly now. Still bearable but it may finally be starting down the path of surgery, hopefully still a long way off (or as long as I can stand it) or not being able to walk. I think that I still have a good ways to go though before it gets that bad. I’ve only had one bad episode in the last couple days and I can tell it’s because I had the cane to lean on before it “hit”. But life goes on, and it’s a nice stick. Has about a 2 and a half inch oblong knob, about 1.5 inches an inch below the knob and 7/8 inch at the bottom.
