Beer is an acquired taste. I acquired my taste for it at the age of 16 or so.
I had my first beer when I was 18 and didn't like it, I drink screwdrivers once I turned 21. My brother told me you have to drink beer to learn to like it and he was right, I do enjoy the taste now but I rarely touch the stuff anymore. I never would drink at home for personal reasons and since getting married I don't go out like I used to.
