When I was stationed in Mountain Home AFB in Idaho ('80-'81) we got an Auzzie detachment come in for training, visiting or something. Anyway We had the FB-111 stationed there.
Long story short, before the left there were Bright Orange VERY MALE Kangaroo decals plastered all over about half our planes. PLUS the Wing Commanders had one PAINTED on the nose gear panel of his plane. He was not impressed, but we thought it was Hilarious!
Oh I had the task of TRYING to brief the flight crews, without much success ( I thought) but they were a good bunch.
