I better explain. Mom has been throwing herself a pitty party for MONTHS! It doesn't matter to her how bad Patty feels, or how sick she is. Mom just wants to have "Family" together for Christmas dinner. Mom has convinced herself she is not well enough to do anything, Dad does ALL the work at their house.
