Boots are a hard one to recommend. I like Asolo for hiking boots because they fit my feet. There are plenty of good boots out there. But you have to try them on and walk a bit to get an idea if you will like them or not.

For leather work boots I like the rocky ranger 9's and for my Duty boots I like the Bates enforcers. Mostly because they fit. A lot of makes seem to have too much slop in the heels and it makes for an uncomfortable walk and blisters for me.
