I almost always get into the Elk by myself. Not so much with my partners. They are great guys but they have always want to hunt differnt palces and never scout. They decided on a last minute trip and called me up asking if I would give them my best guess where the elk were that time of year. I got them in a good spot and they ahve decided that maybe being successful is better than nostalgia and being a backcountry tourist.
Whole different mindset when you hunt serious. I am lucky, I have been hunting with my brothers since we were kids. The one brother doesn't hunt much, and the other is hardcore, but when we hunt we don't have to talk much because we all know what the plan is. It is great to not have to think about what your partner is going to do And it has been great teaching our nephew
