Moose can be dangerous period. We didn't have many until recently. Now we have a few Moose. But they have a huge range here. They move around alot.
One just about killed my wife's great uncle a few years ago while he was working his trapline. Only hiding under a large log stopped him from being stomped to death. As it was he had broken ribs, punctured lungs and some other injuries

He managed to crawl to his skidoo and drive to the highway and pass out. One of his friends found him and called an ambulance, his was in hospital for over a week
