When you saturate the cotton, just smear a goodly amount on the outside and then use your fingers to "Heat it up" and get it down into the ball. AFTER you get some done, try one out and see if you need to go back and add some more Jelly. Oh also kind of stretch the cotton ball out to give it more surface to catch the sparks. If you get TO MUCH jelly, it won't hardly light.
