I am truly worried that as a nation we have crossed a point of no return. I don't know how we can help the rancor that's developed. We're developing (have developed?) into two mutually exclusive, diametrically opposed political groups.

Politics trumps interpersonal relationships. Hate fuels conversations. People who disagree are evil. We're are dehumanizing each other. Once that happens, it's easy to do terrible things to your fellow man. I've studied China for decades. I understand the hate that can be used as a political tool. I know what revolution looks like. I understand how disturbing, dangerous, and degenerate people can get once they succumb to hate.

Keep praying for each other and our nation Dogs.

That is exactly the view I have from here in Europe! 15 or 20 years ago I could not have seen your nation just breaking into two parts they are now. how can 50% of your poeple be evil just becouse they have more liberal or concervative views? Both of the partys running have a democratic tradition that spans for centuries. Its not about winning against each other, its about making the country a better place to live for all citizens...
