Thanks!

Great pic, MonkeyBomb!

I just bought a quarter cow—245 pounds of beef, plus free organs, bones, and fat. It's going to be delivered on August 6th.

By buying quarter or half cows, directly through the rancher, you can get the best prices on the best meat. We paid $4.60 per pound, for regeneratively raised, grass-fed, dry aged beef. Plus, you get it cut exactly the way you want it.

Of course, this only works if you eat a lot of meat, can afford to make a big purchase all at once, and have plenty of freezer space.

My wife and I are strict carnivores—which is to say that we only eat meat and animal-based foods (bone marrow, liver, heart, etc.). We don't eat any fruits, vegetables, tubers, grains, seeds, nuts, or anything else from plants. So, we go through a lot of meat.
