It has been a productive day so far. I got the old roofing shingles removed and cleaned up. I got all the old nails and staples off the roof. I'm going to take a little break and get the tar paper up and stapled down. I might even get a start on putting some new shingles up.
I have never done roofing tiles before. I figured getting the old roof off would be the hard part. It wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. A flat bladed shovel did the trick pretty quickly. Plus there is a pretty heavy pitch on most of the roof. Definitely safe from the Secret Service
