We had “Egg Roll in a bowl” for supper, and it’s really good served over steamed rice.
1lb pork sausage (or you can use hamburger) 1 bag (or 6 cups) Cole slaw or shredded cabbage 1Tblsp Minced Garlic 4Tblsp Soy Sauce 1 small or medium (diced) yellow onion 3Tblsp Sesame Oil Salt & Pepper to taste *Green onions (diced) for garnish if desired
In a large skillet (we used a 5qt Chicken fryer pan) cook the meat making sure it is broken up into small pieces, and add the onions about 2/3 way cooked. You just want to get the onions to start turning opaque. DO NOT Drain off the grease from the meat.
Add the Cole slaw, garlic and soy sauce and cook until the cabbage starts softening some (I put the lid on to help “steam” the cabbage).
Remove from the heat and drizzle with the sesame oil and garnish with the green onions if you want.
Oh and I wore a green camo shirt while Patty wore a light weight green sweater.
