Yep, its supposed to roll out in November.

I haven't heard that its mandatory. Its not something that's going to work everywhere and I can predict a lot of problems and pitfalls with it.

Its going to be super easy to "print" more money. Just a computer entry. Plus every transaction goes through the fed.

I can see this being the start of hyperinflation. But realistically most money really isn't in your bank anyway. If you needed to make a large cash withdrawal they would need a few days.

I don't like digital currency. I go to too many farmers markets, farms and local purchases from classified ads to mess with that. Plus out west there are plenty of places without cell signals. So I'm not sure how that's going to work out.

Plus I like having an emergency fund in case of natural disaster. Infrastructure goes down but you still need to pay for fuel, groceries and maybe a hotel.
