I picked up a UV-9G GMRS radio for the kiddo. She is living a couple of miles away now and having alternate comments is probably a good idea. I have a bunch of Other radios but I don't think she is going to get a tech license anytime soon.

Now to test them out and see if they actually work across the town. That and figure out how to text message from them.
