It finally happened. I've been suffering from chronic neck pain for 9 years. Degenerative Disc Disease and Cervical Stenosis. Today, I had an artificial disc replacement. The neurosurgeon wanted to do fusion, but I can't afford to be off work for that lengthy recovery time. I've been looking forward to this day and I'm excited for the improved quality of life. And I got to go home the same day! When I got home my 4 year old son asked if they chopped my neck off.
