I once had a Ruger Redhawk (again WAY back in the early 80's) that I really liked. It was a Beast, but shot well. I got an assignment to Japan and when I got back I traded it for a Colt officers Model 45. I shoulda kept it.
Sounds like you got the better end of that deal if you ask me!
