i'm wanting to send my deceased friends spouse and son some fishing gear. he always wanted his son to have good quality stuff to learn on but he's only 8 right now. i'm a bit disconnected when it comes to kids and i'm inclined to over do it.
so, do i send him the kind of stuff i would use and let him grow into it or do i get him something smaller and more for beginners?
My two cents. I would get him some gear that is sutible for his age and if he takes to fishing, some better stuff down the road.
