He was great
He wasn't a blood uncle, he was a friend of the family from before my dad was born
He gave me my first gun, my first pocket knife
He and my dad taught me to hunt and shoot

He was born 100 years too late


Now I KNOW he is a feller I would have liked to have known.

I was lucky that I had a few great uncles
He is one of my role models in trying to be "that uncle"
