He was on an unfamiliar highway (max speed of 70, so I am guessing it was an interstate). He came up over a hill and there was an on ramp just over the crest (you couldn't see it he said from his side of the hill), he had just raised his soda bottle to take a drink, popped over the hill and hit a truck load of Mexicans merging into traffic doing an estimated 25-30 mph.
