Just downloaded the spyderco app for the iPhone. If for nothing else (folders) it is VERY useful as it has an Edge-U-Cation section that talks about steel production, Steel properties, a steel chart (ALL kinds of steel and their chemical makeup) and if you "Click" on each element it will tell you what that does for the steel. It also has an elemental table of steel "additives" as well that also tells what each "additive" does for the steel. I am sure that Dan can quote this by heart, but alas us ignore ram musses don't know this stuff and gotta cheat.
