new gloves with a sticky grip. stuck my hand in my pocket. The only other bite I had was right then. I snatched my hands out and the phone followed. It bounced around on the pier and somehow slid right off and into the water. Only two feet deep but a bunch of weeds and plants down there and I don't have any boots to get in there.
