I'm still a little in shock; I received a call from an old high-school friend who enlisted in the Marines and went to VietNam about six months before me. He has ALS..."Lou Gehrig's disease", and is in a Veterans' Home. Apparently it was triggered by either schrapnel still in him or Agent Orange. He said he has about six months to a year to live.

I'm going to visit him this afternoon. Bummer!
