Not sure one handed or "Off hand" shooting is the course of fire mandated by the state or not. BUT I suspect it's (IN addition to the safety and legal aspect part of the class) is just to show you can hit a man sized target at that distance.
hopefully the group that I belong to that is doing a court challenge to get open carry legal in the wilderness succeeds I have my doubts
