The Famous (or infamous) Negrito Hunting Bolo.

9.5 inches of 1/4 inch thick spring steel made from salvaged truck springs. Heat treat is what ever the springs were originally done at. That being said, it of course doesn't hold an edge like Dan's wares, but at the same time you can sharpen it on a concrete block (been done a few times).

The handle is Water Buffalo stacked leather with aluminum "Spacers" made from who knows what kind of source. Brass Guard is from melted down 20MM aircraft cannon casings.

Sheath is an after market job I had made when I was stationed in Texas. I just found the ORIGINAL 37 year old (Fold over) Water Buffalo Hide sheath while we were cleaning out the garage. I'll try and get a pic of it. It's nothing unique, just that it has lasted all these years and is still functional.
