Ancient Indonesian Utility Knife Used for Self Protection and Self Defense

It Can be carried for Reverse or Forward grip deployment (Reverse grip is the traditional grip style).

Handles = Black G-10 epoxy / glass laminate
Liner lock = Aerospace grade Titanium
Blade = 154 CM
Blade grind = Razor Sharp Chisel Grind (and it is)!
Overall Length 6.80 in.
Blade Length 2.60 in. ** Don't let this length fool ya guys. That is measured in a straight line from handle to tip. Along the sharpened edge it is plenty long enough to be a deterrent.
Handle Length 4.65 in.
Blade Thickness .125 in.
Hardness 57-59 RC
Weight 3.6oz
Finger Hole Dia 0.9 in.

I LIKE THIS KNIFE. It IS a great "Harvesting" blade. Being curved it stays in the cut. It works fantastically for gathering corn, okra or any other food that grows on a vine or a stalk.

BUT it's primary use today is a defensive tool. At this it excels! That curved blade just plain looks NASTY!

I prefer the reverse (the traditional hold). This hold is USUALLY preferred due to in an actual "Fight" your fine motor skills go out the window. Your movements are usually jerky and not as smooth, as fluid as usual due to the Adrenalin dump into your system. The reverse grip allows for hitting/punching as normal and as a normal follow through will cut on the fist "Sliding past" the impact point.

You naturally get a VERY secure grip on the knife due to your finger going through the ring in the end. It's not for everybody, and the actual (Normal way of) stabbing are almost non existent, but it will make shallow stabbing wounds. It's mane forte is slashing/ripping through what ever is your target.

Just watch this and you will see how it can be used.

If you are more into it (RICH) you might like this one.

Notice how even in a conventional stabbing movement it is ALMOST always accompanied with a slicing or "Hooking" movement, even if it's on the withdrawal.

AND It doesn't take as much skill or practice in blade Combatives to be at least semi effective.

Just my personal opinion and thoughts.

*** The reason it wasn't included at first is that it wasn't in front of me, it was IN MY POCKET! grin
