the design has little to do with ZT, it's Galyean's. they think it'll sell, they'll make it. if trendy sells, they'll sell it. it's not like they reinvented the knife. they've got the buying and production power of kai cutlery, so they can sell strider class knives for less. bigger company, more technology, more experience, economies of scale, lower price. look how sculpted and irregular the standard kershaw line is. at half the price, i think it costs only slightly less to produce.
