While reading my new issue of blade magazine and came across an article on auto knives, when I came across the acronym S.E.R.E. Reminded me of the AL Mar SERE Attack blades (folders) from back in the late 60's and 70's. I ALMOST bought a large one Back in the EARLY 80's I think it was. BIG knife. I did go on to buy two of the smaller ones, one the Micarta brown/chocolate handle and one with the rubber handle.

Anyway, while thinking of this I thought of the GTI folder (large) and how it would make a great combat folder or survival blade. It isn't all that long in the tooth (3.5 inch blade) but it is very wide and at 3/16 inch thick would hold up nicely and it has a bomb proof titanium liner. So for those folks who can't carry a fixed blade this large GTI folder would make a nice addition to anyone's "Kit".
