We bought a home that needed some major renovations recently. I always had two blades on me--a cheapie folding utility knife from Loews, and the Kershaw Tyrade. The Tyrade saw waaaay more use and TBH, I did things with it I never should have done with any knife. Prying up embedded nails, digging deep inside walls to scrape out brackets/staples, using it to leverage some other tool, dig out rusty screws, and on and on and on. I can't explain how proud I am of it--I had several occasions where I'd hear a snap and go "oh, that was it, I finally broke the tip/edge," only to pull it out and find it was fine. I know this is why people buy their ZTs and Hinderers and Striders, but I can't justify the expense of those right now and, for the $100 I paid for it, I can't explain how impressed I am with the durability of this thing. It is a champ and I am probably never leaving home without it again. I don't like that it sorta scares people, but I feel prepared for anything with it.

I'd post this on a Kershaw forum but apparently none exist? Silly.

What should such fellows as I do, crawling between earth and heaven?
