Sharp I think it's just the opposite, actually. Police officers have to carry a ton of crap on their belts and lightening the load would be a big priority for me if I had to lug that all that stuff.

Carrying a pistol, baton, mace/taser, two spare mags, flashlight, knife, and cuffs all day would wear me out.

Bottom line, just like when backpacking, you're gonna feel every ounce by the end of the day.
