As Wide (edge to spine) as this knife (GTI folder) is you might think that it would be way to wide to do much detailed work with. Well I haven't done anything to detailed but so far it really works nicely. I am hesitant to really give it a hard work out, and Patty says I can't cause it might damage the etching I had done to it. Oh well It will work for Hard use if ever needed.

S35VN steel, don't know anything about it, but a lot of folks say it's pretty good. I reckon time will tell.

Being a spear point I think that it would work nicely for making the drill board (hole specifically) for a fire making bow drill setup. I also think that with the "Belly" it has it should work nice for making a spoon as well. It will of course work well for fuzz sticks, cutting notches and other such bushcraft tasks.

The ONLY things I wish were different are:
1. The choil about 1/16 inch longer (I got sorta fat fingers)
2. Close set jimping on the blade and handle where your thumb naturally falls when holding in a saber grip.

It is surprising to me how well this knife carries in the pocket for such a large knife. But it almost becomes unnoticeable (weight wise) after you've carried it for a few minutes.

I was hesitant to buy a a short (3.5 inches) fat bladed knife like this in a folder format, but I am now glad that I did. I think that it will prove to be a lot better all around user than you might at first think.

It IS a keeper for sure, built Dan Tough. BUT remember it is a folder even though it is a Beast of one.
