Oh well...

Vic,

How do you like the Dejavoo? They are really, really smooth for a production folder. So is the Skirmish.

I've been wanting to get a Skirmish. I think it was the one of the first BMs that I wanted. Couldn't find a coloring scheme that I liked. The normal was two fruity. The silver accents didn't really do it too much for me.

Ultimately, I still wanted a Blackwood design, thus the only logical thing to do was buy the RUKUS. Good choice too. G10/Micarta handles + Axis lock. I was pretty happy. Never realized that it was so larger, in fact, it the same size as the RMD.

Neil Blackwood is an amazing maker. He really likes making extremely large knives for some reason. I've heard is personal folder is his Mega Skirmish. It's somewhere around 13-16 inches. So I've heard, it could even be more.

I'm really glad that BM is taking some time with a few well known custom makers and coming up with affordable versions of expensive custom folders (500-2000 dollar range). I'm really looking forward to the new Osbourne design Rift.

The new Rift might go better with the pack rather than the SOCOM. The Rift is 8 inches long. If I need some light cutting I really don't need 4-5 inches worth of steel. A good 3-3.5 will do fine.

Bld522,

Go try one of the BM Osbourne Axis, 940 or 960. It'll match your watch. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

And one or two would go well with your Scrap Yard Knives. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
