I usually carry a beat up Spyderco Endura for a locking folder and I always have a SAK or this old Schrade on me.

I've got a simialar schrade, my aunt gave it to me just after my uncle passed away, he carried it for about 20 years, $hit it just struck me, I've had it since 1986.
The knife is probably older then 1/2 the posters on this forum, it was my edc for about 15 years and I do ocassionally put it into my edc rotation
