Funny story about my 2 qt canteen. When I got sent to Florida after Hurricane Andrew I was there a couple weeks and someone stole my hat (ok,cover) and canteen. I was gripping about it and the 3 Star Army General in charge I knew from Pope/Bragg heard me. He said he has one in his Hummer that he would never use and had his aid get it for me. He was a pretty nice fella. I knew him from when he came to Pope to meet VIP's. I worked in Base operations so saw him quite a bit.
