If my memory is right, the AFB is about 12 or 13 miles south of the Interstate. Heck, it's JUST over 10 miles from Town. They extended the front gate quite a ways toward the town so they wouldn't have to pay everybody extra for the "Remote" location. (or so the story went 32 years ago).
