I seem to stay warmer in mine. But I use a cover thats like a tent with mine and a good bag. The last time I went out it was right around 35 degrees F and I stayed warm. I wasnt using an under quilt and it rained. Im sold on hammock camping.
I'm sold on hammock camping too. It's a new thing to me and I was sharing my observations. I did have a trap over my hammock but the wind blew straight in from my feet end. So positioning was bad for staying warm but I did have a perfect view! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> I also used very thin sleeping bag with very light clothing.
