I've got several big knives. The M9 seems like it would be the least at home doing big wood chores. I've got an old Ranger 9 based on a busse blank. It seems like it would make a great fighter--more evenly balanced than, say, the DF--but still works great at chopping, batoning, and camp chores, which is what I do mostly with it. my DF, and BWM feel like great dedicated choppers. My Rodent 9 feels sort of--interesting. Can't tell if it will be a good overall blade or not. That handle is a little different.
