Especially for a married couple with smaller children, days is the best shift. Shame someone who isn't married or doesn't have kids won't switch with you. But then again I guess a lot of them want the day shift so they can party at night.
The job it self would be at the service desk writing reports short hearings and such. I would lose most of the excitement...
But it might make your wife happier, less danger to you I would suspect.
