I saw the pics. The ACL was hanging by a thread. There were two meniscus tears (on top of the one they repaired last year). I've now got a giant titanium screw inserted in my tibia and a big old hole through my femur. Apparently, after they cut out the hamstring tendons, and drill those holes, they cut out the ACL, grind out and enlarge the tunnel it runs through, screw the new ACL into the tibia, and run a giant needle through the knee, threading the new ACL into the hole drilled through the femur, run the needle out through the quadricep and when the eye of the needle is firmly embedded in the femur hole, they snap the needle off, leaving the eye lodged in the femur. I was trying to figure out why my quad was so sore and what the giant puncture mark was on it. Now I know.
